PROJECT REPORTS

EarlyStatistics Pedagogical Framework

In this report, we provide an overview of the pedagogical framework that guided the EarlyStatistics program. The pedagogical framework was developed jointly by the pedagogical and technical experts in the consortium, in order to guide the design and delivery of the professional development course and, consequently, of the infrastructure and services for the dedicated information base that supports the project activities and outputs. This framework, which was revised based on feedback gained through the pilot delivery of the professional development course, provides expert and practitioner recommendations for the effective delivery of online professional development to teachers of statistics. It incorporates both pedagogical and technical considerations regarding delivery of online professional development in statistics education.
